Kaeppel is a lifetime resident of eastern Pennsylvania. She grew up in a very rural area but has spent her entire adult life living in urban neighborhoods. She is Christian, experienced in education and mental health, and has worked professionally in various sectors and capacities. Currently she is in talent acquisition where she has developed expertise in recruiting US Department of Defense clearance holders to fill Information Technologies roles. Her novels and flash fiction feature love stories, themes of addiction, depression, anxiety, failures of education, bullying, self-harm, loneliness, persecution, …, and always demonstrate internalization of faith. Kaeppel has served as a youth ministry leader, has worked professionally and as a volunteer with children and youth, and in addition to fiction writing has engineered countless business writing pieces from messaging to employee handbooks, from simple presentations to complex manuals. She and her husband of 32 years have five adult children, two rescue cats, and one rescue dog. Hobbies include vegetable gardening, kayaking, hiking, and paper crafting.
