"Where Dawson Lives"
“What are they about?” people ask about my latest book series, Where Dawson Lives.
How does an author reduce over 225,000 words, each deemed necessary, into less than 100?
Here’s the latest effort:
"They’re about Dawson, a stereotype grumpy diner owner. Everyone knows his accomplishments but no one dares ask what brought him back to diner life. Dawson lives in a continuous exchange of one addiction for another. He lives in the difference between keeping it together and getting it together. He lives under the heaviness of regret, damage, and crushed dreams."
And who hasn’t lived there?
